Testimonial 12

Dear Ms. Eggleston,

We are writing this letter to thank you sincerely for your generous donation of the helium tank and balloons to the "Kingston’s-Night-Under-A-Net" fundraiser.

On the evening of April 12th, more than 100 people from Queen’s Medical School, Queen’s University and the Kingston’s community celebrated Kingston’s first annual "Night-Under-A-Net" at the waterfront Radisson Hotel. It was a wonderful evening with a spirit of festivity and support for the Buy-A-Net initiative. As you know Kingston’s Buy-A-Net is a Kingston based foundation dedicated to saving lives by supplying mosquito nets to families in Malaria endemic areas in Africa. The organization was founded by a local nurse, Debra Lefebvre, who saw the devastation of malaria in Uganda and decided to do something to help.

We are thrilled to tell you that we raised over $10,000 through Kingston’s Night-Under-The-Net! Ticket sales, a silent auction and donations brought many people together and a result was a tremendous success. We want you to know that 100% of all the proceeds have been given directly to the Buy-A-Net foundation for the purchase of mosquito bednets.

This event would not have been possible without the businesses in the Kingston community. We are extremely appreciative of your support of our initiative through the donation that you made through our event. Mosquito nets recognized as being an effective tool in the fight against malaria in affected countries, and we are happy to have contributed in our own small way to the efforts aimed at helping the people of Uganda.

Thank you again!

Yours sincerely,
The Queen’s Medicine Global Health Initiative.
